CONTRIBUTING TO REDUCE OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT TOGETHER

Our products are there to support you every day and make your life easier, but the fact is that they consume resources and energy. When we produce them and when you use them. Discover our eco-design approach and how we can act together.

What is the eco-design approach by Moulinex?

It is about offering you some products with a reduced environmental impact, without compromise in terms of performance or the services they provide for you every day.

So how do we do it?

It all starts with a better understanding of the environmental impact of our products, from the extraction of the resources needed to manufacture them, right to their end of life.

To do this, we have carried our Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) on the majority of our product families.

Did you know?

For Groupe Seb products, the most significant carbon impacts come from the usage phase and the extraction of raw materials*.

Act together

Contributing to reduce the overall environmental footprint of our products is a shared approach: it is us, when we design and produce them. And it is also you, when you use them. Here are some simple actions to accompany your everyday use

Just what you need

Heat only the amount of water needed, this will consume less energy and the hot water will be ready much faster.

Don't mess with wires

To help your appliances last longer, avoid wrapping the cord around the device after use, as the tension could damage it prematurely.

Stay smooth

Use a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent when washing your product to avoid premature wear.

Adjust the temperature of your kettle

Setting the temperature of your kettle helps you save energy by avoiding overheating and unnecessary energy consumption. By heating water to 80°C instead of 100°C, you can save 25% on electricity. You can also turn off the kettle when water is already hot but not boiling.

Batch cooking for energy efficiency

Save yourself time and energy by batch cooking: prepare meals in advance so you turn on your appliance less often and make the most of the energy when you use it.

Second life for your broken appliances

Appliance no longer working? Instead of throwing it in the bin or leaving it at the back of a cupboard, have it repaired or take it to the nearest recycling centre!
